Busy Week!

The week started out with Evan's two month check-up. Squish is weighing in at 12 pounds, 13 ounces. He has gained over two pounds in just one month time! He had his first round of shots (3 shots, 7 immunizations total). We opted not to give him the Rotavirus vaccine, as we don't believe that children need to be vaccinated for everything under the sun. Let me be clear that we give EVERY state required immunization on schedule, but we do not give the Flu shot or Rotavirus. Although, since Anne had an Intensive Care stay in the hospital last November, I *might* give her the flu mist.

Today was a big day! Libby found a pair of scissors and cut Anne's hair. *Sigh*, I was so upset. It's not too bad, so I hope people don't really notice, but gosh, I HATE it when kids cut hair, it's so inappropriate. If you remember last year, Will and Libby cut their hair. Libby, from that haircut that Will gave her, now has really adorable long bangs. But, it took a year.

Speaking of hair, I can't understand this (really awful) trend of little boys wearing long hair. I am picky about my boy's hair. Actually, men's hair in general. I can't STAND boys and men with long hair. Or facial hair. So, while I'm alive, my boys will never have long hair or facial hair. I think it makes a little boy or man look lazy and unkempt. Hello people! Long hair belongs on ladies, period.

Libby had her hair cut today. This is only the second time in her life that her hair has been cut. I love little girls with long hair. I cut off about 4 inches and it really needed it. Four inches sounds like a lot, but her hair was almost down to her waist. It looks so much thicker and stronger, so it really needed it.

The three big boys all have soccer games this weekend. It will be Sam and Will's first games and Jack's second. Jack played goalie in the second half last weekend. I was amazed at his natural ability to play goal. It's rare to find children at this age who can naturally play goalie. Sam is super excited and is pretty darn good himself, but I am interested in watching Will play. Woody has endless running energy....I hope they play him at midfield.

Libby's birthday is Saturday too, and I am going to take her out to Kraus Farms. I have known the family that owns it for a long time and always welcome us to bring Libby out to see the over one hundred horses out there. We'll bring a bag of small apples and a handful of carrots and make an afternoon of it. I enjoy it as much as she does. As soon as she turns seven, she's totally going to take riding lessons :)

Life, as always, keeps us busy.

Libby Turns Four

Libby actually turns four on the 19th, but we had a party today for her and my sister, Katie. Aunt Katie's birthday is on the 11th, so it's always been fun to have a party for both of them. Libby was super excited over the new bike that my parents gave to her. This little girl couldn't be any more girlie!

The New Stroller

I have never owned a double stroller (until now). This will make life a lot easier! Isn't nice and new and not dirty?! We just got it yesterday, so tomorrow we will take it to the park! So exciting!

Libby Goes to Preschool

This year, Libby is in the Panda class! She will be going to preschool Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings-a big change from just 2 mornings last year! She had a fabulous morning making new friends!
